Hi, I'm Charles Jones and ... I BELIEVE

I believe WE must become a coalition for everyday folks; “WE, the PEOPLE!” Together, we can create greater prosperity for working people. Together, we can protect voting rights and restore women’s freedom rights. Together, WE the PEOPLE can defend our democracy in North Carolina.

Charles Jones' story

Putting My Civil Service and Labor Experience to Protect and Unite

Charles Jones' history with Brunswick County is four generations deep, with his great-grandfather stepping foot in the Smithfield area coming from Fayetteville, NC.

From a working background, Charles has been a business owner in construction and trucking, a police officer in Wilmington, and a longshoreman before becoming an officer in the Local International Longshoremen's Association (ILA Local 1426).

This Father, Laborer, Law Enforcement Officer, Business Owner, and legacy son of Brunswick County now wants to go further in his family legacy to serve the people of Brunswick County NC House District-17.

Charles is running for office because he feels that his friends and family are not adequately represented by their local House Representative at the State Capitol in Raleigh. This lack of representation has motivated him to take action and run for office to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed.

Many local residents and business owners cannot name their local House Representative for NC-17 ... Charles wants to meet and know the people of his district and know their concerns.

Brunswick residents are concerned with the building of residential communities when developers and legislators for the county are not building schools and hospitals, weatherproofing roads, increasing police and fire, and clearing out forests and wetlands without considering wildlife impact.

We need to move from political leadership that does not take time to know the people in their district, we need to move political leadership from a focus on personal profit for developers to professional politicking for the communities in Brunswick County.
